ABOUT ME

I've been a pro photographer for close to 40 yrs.  Advertising, catalog, newspaper/magazine ads, brochures, billboards, packaging, point-of-sale, etc. Ads published in "GQ", "Food & Wine" and "In Style" magazines.  I was a photographer for a May company department store shooting fashion and product.  Got into photography way before digital.  My early career entails working with large format (4x5 & 8x10 view cameras) with FILM!! Pre Photoshop, everything captured on film!

My goal to become a photographer was also to become an artist. To create.

Within the commercial world, many times being an artist is not what it’s about.  Creative license is often times not the job of the photographer.  It’s the art director, creative director, the agency, the client, the client’s wife, etc.

When I was young, I always aspired to be able to draw.  In my eyes, I sucked at it.  So my artistic aspirations went to photography.  I loved photography from a very young age.  My first camera was a Polaroid Swinger back in the 70’s.  I loved taking photos with my swinger.

My eye and my camera/cameras/iPhone are currently my canvas and brushes.

Went to school in Pittsburgh, lived and worked in NY and LA; and now living in southern Utah.
